The 2017 Círculo de Amigas Foundation Annual Report is now available for viewing.
Our first year of operation as a new foundation was a great success. The transition from Círculo de Amigas into Círculo de Amigas Foundation (CDAF) could not have been possible without the support of our sponsors and volunteers.
A Year of Achievements
The report below outlines the many achievements we accomplished in 2017.
It is always remarkable to see how much the girls can achieve with the right support. Last year saw 10 girls graduate from universities throughout the country.
It is also rewarding to see how our work extends into the Jinotega community. This is the second year in a row that our programs helped nearly 5,000 people in the surrounding neighborhoods. Workshops with multiple agencies and health brigades are made available to as many as possible at no cost to us.
Building on the premise of “giving back”, 2017 also marked the first time that the girls participated in community service and fundraising. This builds up their sense of gratitude and dignity.
While a lot has been accomplished in our first year, we still have much to do. CDAF is always in search of new sponsors and volunteers to grow and improve our program.
