We rely on donations to help maintain a vibrant community center in Jinotega, Nicaragua.
Donations may also support similar programs offered by comparable projects in Nicaragua. We would appreciate your adding approximately 3% to your donation to cover PayPal's processing fees.

Your monthly Primary/High School sponsorship provides your student with a monthly stipend that assures she is able to continue her education and improve the living conditions of her entire family.

Primary/High School Sponsorship

Your monthly University sponsorship provides your student with a monthly stipend to help cover the cost of tuition, supplies, and (for students enrolled in universities outside of Jinotega) travel and room & board.

University Sponsorship
$20/Month
Sponsorships at the Tutor level directly supports all of Círculo de Amigas' educational resources, including our tutoring program and library. PayPal processing fees have been added to yield the needed net student requirements.
Tutor Level Sponsorship
If you need assistance, please contact us to set up an automatic payment system. We are very flexible with our payment schedules. You can donate annually, semi-annually, quarterly, bi-monthly, or monthly. Invoices are sent based on your payment schedule, and we ask that you fulfill them within 30 days.
Meet a few of our students
Geovania
Geovania is in her second year of high school. When she graduates, she hopes to study mathematics or physics at university.
Karen
Karen is a fourth grader and stellar math student! She hopes one day to attend university and study to become a nurse.
Dayra
Dayra is in her first year at university. She is currently on track to get a degree in medical technology upon graduation.
Student Expectations
To be sponsored, our students must qualify and demonstrate a need. To remain in the program our students are expected to:

Maintain passing grades. When grades start slipping, students develop an improvement plan and receive additional personalized tutoring until their grades improve.

Write to their sponsors 3-4 times per year.

Attend scheduled seminars regarding subjects such as domestic-violence prevention, health care, and oral hygiene. These are often coordinated with the Ministry of Health.

Participate in community service activities. We also encourage the older girls to mentor and tutor the younger students.
Keeping up with your Student
Sponsors will receive regular report cards from their student along with a short hand-written letter. We encourage you to communicate directly with your student via post.
You may also visit and volunteer at our center in Nicaragua. This is a great opportunity to meet your student, her family, and our community in Jinotega. The hospitality of the staff is fantastic as they try to make your stay as comfortable as possible in the Community Center. Needless to say, your stay will be a memorable one.
